I just put out about 20 rat sets this morning. I will snap some pics when I check and add some comments and methods along with them. Assuming of course that I catch at least one. Also I can snap some pics of sets.

I am mostly a run/path/trail setter. I use 110's in most of these. Another of my favorite sets is a #1 long or coil at the entrance point of these trails and the water.

Well-used runs look like there's a clear tube in the stream or marsh.Perfect size for a 110. Rat toilets or resting stations are also really good. I look for little black terds and stick the trap in front of them.

Hopefully I will have more for you later.

Here's a few I found.------

Kind of hard to see, but a rat under overhanging bank

Pinch point between rock and bank (notice droppings on rock)

results of pinch point

good pic of muskrat den in shallow water-----awesome spot for 110 bodygrip

With muskrats, well with any animal, you are just going to have to scout and find where they are.
The places that you are going to want to set traps are places like:
slides
huts
feed beds
toilets
etc..
Heres an example of a place I am going to be setting a 110 at.

if you are on a pond with steep banks look for den holes
