i went from all kinds of critter's to nothing is it the moon

same here with me bud although i pulled up 13 rats and a nice nice otter so far in 3days

I would say it is. Me and a buddy both set up this week, I've got about 40 out not sure what he's running. Our combined total for 3 days is 3 coon, 1 'yote, 1 groundhog, and 1 grinner. Plus 2 that the frost set off. Not a real super start! Gotta' be the moon.

cooner thats what i think my problem is as well. but now that the moon is gettng better, so are my catch rates.

I am new to trapping and i have 8 110s out in a small marsh set in runs (at least what i think are runs). 3 checks and Zilch ( 1 sprung coni today?) I hope it's the moon, but more than likely it's me. tomorrow i am going to throw apple on some of the triggers.

Trapping this year has been awful.
I have doubled the number of traps this year due to gaining two new farms, both 800 acres plus. However, I have caught half of the normal critters than I have caught normally.

There were foot prints all over, and just like that I don’t see a one.

Trapping hasnt been the greatest. To much corn up, all the coons are in the corn fields.

waternovice, saw a demo @ nationals about baiting coni triggers. If they're under water, the fella' said just stick a piece of styrofoam cup on the trigger, it looks the same and they can't smell under water anyway.(and by the time they taste it, they've already bit it!) Haven't tried it, just passing this along.

i havent been catching much either just two skunk and three grinners and usuallly do better by now maybe it was the moon

I don't put much emphasis on moon phases BUT i do believe that weather fronts will get'em moving. They do need to get those CROPS off the fields tho!!

I agree with skunkkid. There is to much corn up. Although yesterday was a good run with 1 rat, 2mink, and 2 coon.

baited my (9) 110's and 120's yesterday with apple. today went to check not one piece of apple remains, yet only one trap sprung with nothin in it????

I had rats in my beaver traps, just slaying em'. 5 days of beaver trapping = Zero beavers 9 rats and coon that liked minty castor!
