Well I just got back from P.O.W. Island on a 7 day deer hunting trip.We had a blast. That is some of the most beautiful, rugged country I have ever seen.It rains every day with a little pause in it to play tricks on you thinking you can take off your rain gear and then here comes a toad strangler.
That has got to be some great trapping country marten and mink where all over down there did see a few 120 boxes.
We ended up getting 3 deer a piece the biggest was a 3x3 with eye guards my buddy killed.Word of advice if you go there to hunt dont shoot one down hill the clear cuts are a SOB to try and walk Thur.I nailed one about 100 yards or so down one and 1 1/2 hrs later we had him back at the truck. My buddy missed a nice black bear about a 7 footer or so he hit the tree right where his front shoulders were supposed to be.We had one come into camp and take one deer off the meat pole, never did see it again, stayed up two nights in a row waiting for him never showed, then comes back in the daylight while we were hunting and drags it off farther. All in all it was a great trip wish I could tell stories like TJ or Alaskan.
Here's my biggest one the other two one was a spike and the other a fork.
