this is made to be just like the coons version of this post. that is a great post from which i learned alot from. so hopefully i will be able to learn alot more and hopefully it will help out us beginners. who knows even you experienced fox guys might learn something new. so post pictures of sets, how theyre made, all that kind of stuff. and another thing id like to see out of this post is more about location.
thanks

What species of fax are you targeting. For Reds, you need to look for sign in basically the same places you would look for coyotes. Crop edges, Points, field roads, outside corners of fields. intersections on roads, etc.

Look for prominent objects that fox will key in on as scent markers. I like to drag logs or large rocks on crop edges to make post sets on. Lots of eye appeal works to get them to investigate the object and your lures draw them in closer. I also like farm lane intersections as bic mentioned. Fox and coyote use the path of least resistance and will travel these lanes. Use the wind to your advantage.

Gray fox location would be in brushy, covered areas, they dont like the open fields as much as a red would, they are also the only canine that can climb trees

Gray is the easest one to catch for me make a dirt hole and guide heavy if you are on sign he will be there and once you catch one reset to catch the mate.

So fox will only stay in a hole for a couple days of the year?

Anybody else have any thoughts on this?
