Piece of junk 22 revolver. I don't like a rifle cause its just something else to carry. I figure it this way why carry a gun when you could carry more traps

well i have been trying to find a junk 22 revolver been hitting gun shows just not having any luck have a really nice one but hate to beat it up

I carry a Browning Buck Mark.

Ruger single six -4-5/8" barrel or Ruger bearcat. I also use a Remington model A pump...really like that old gun when I'm bobcat trapping. Thread the bullet into the eye and not a hole...also pick up a few rabbits along the way.

I use a Springfield M-6 Scout rifle, .22 & .410 combo. Very handy, all metal, no wood to scratch up or break, it has an ammo compartment in the buttstock, shells are always handy.

Ruger Single Six 6 1/2" barrel, stainless, ivory grips, with a front bead sight and adjustable rear sights. I've dispatched skunks at 30 yards with it.

I hit a muskrat onece with a wood stake and it made a huge hole/tear in his fur. I either drown them or shoot my catch

Is it bad that I use my catch pole...? A quick pull of the cable and the go to sleep. Gets a little wicked with raccoons, those little guys are tough.

Now that I think of it.... I did end up with a fox ALIVE in my garage last year. He slept all the way home, 30 mins or more, than ran like crazy....he didn't get to far.

I carry a 2" Taurus revolver in .17 hmr. Wasn't sure about it, but I dispatched a coyote with it last week, and left a tiny entrance hole, and no exit.

i carry a little six shot .22 revolver with a six and a half inch barrel. i can shoot .22 mags, shorts, or long rifles out of it. works for me.

What kind of, brand, revolver shoots .22 mags and LRs, Ls, & Ss.

A .22 mag requires a cylinder of its own fitted to its size.
A .22 mag will not fit a standard .22 cylinder.
A .22.mag. cylinder does not fit Long Rifles, Longs, or Shorts.

some come with more then one cylinder i have one that's 22 and 22mag oh wait my wife jacked that from me for yote's wile she bow hunts

CCI has a new hyper velocity .22 long rifle round shooting a 40 grain hollowpoint that will get your old .22 pretty close to magnum power but it still ain't a .22 magnum. It is becoming my favorite load for my Ruger. It is called the Velociter.:)

What I don't understand is something like recurve's post above that he has a revolver that will shoot .22 mags, Long Rifles, Longs, and Shorts. Sounds as if he is talking about a one cylinder revolver.

yeah, like coonergreen said, it has the regular .22 cylinder, and a mag cylinder. i can shoot shorts and longs out of the regular one, and mags out of the mag one.

what the 17hmr leaves huge exit holes i have 17 mach 2 that doesn't leave a big hole bought that after i sold my 17hmr

thinking about starting to use a Stevens or Savage .22/20 guage. Been jumping alot of ducks out of the sloughs

Been using this M63 S+W for 30 years.I wore out one set of grips and one holster,otherwise,it is still in great shape.

Just got a H&R 622 revolver from my grandfather, it should do the job. Also it is old and rusty so I don't have to worry about wrecking it. Only thing is I am not sure if you have to use 22 shorts in it or if I can use 22 lr's? I will have to find out tomorrow or maybe this weekend.
