Family Trapper is Back! I can't let you guys have all the fun anymore! Piperniner you set the bait and I took it.

especially the distinct differences between Spot and the PLB's ie: Cospas/Sarsat - 121.5 Doppler back up , etc.

Looks like I got some research to do here. ;0) wink

Thanks for those of you that let me know that I was missed and thought of now an again. It was great to hear from you guys when you did.
I would like to thank White for the latest invitation back. I guess he uncovered the last rock to hide under. Sometimes it takes the encouragement of others to get through a hard time.

I am getting back on my game now after a more than stressful year and a half of marital torture! Yikes. Enough of that.
For the record however. I am single now after 16 years of a marriage I figured would last a life time. But still a Family Trapper at heart. But it is time to come out from under the rock and join the like minded and interesting. laugh
Time to make up for lost time. Can't say that I will be as active as before on on the board but I will be making a point of making a regular appearance and contribution.
By the way I am in the market for the perfect new machete if anyone has a lead on one! laugh
Didn't set a trap last season. Couldn't afford to. Wasn't going to get too excited this season except to say that I did some. Well one thought turned into 10 and---- Well I got big plans now and with that comes that desire to share and bring the board along for the ride.

Stay tuned for Family Trappers Journal 09/10 . Coming soon on a forum near you!

Welcome Back!!!

I also had to fight my way back from a broken marriage. It takes time, but you will make it. I learned my lesson and married an outdoors gal and we now have 22 years under our belt.

Looking forward to going along on your next adventure.

Welcome back, Len! I've been missing your contributions to the forum. REALLY sorry to hear about your marital strife! Also been there and done that, twice. you can get along just fine without the "old lady", but missing the kids is what hurts. Hang in there, it'll all level out eventually.

Glad to have you as a participant once again! I was beginning to wonder if you had lost an argument with an orca over a halibut or some such nonsence.

Well we will have to change that. I actually get up to Anchorage a fair bit now with a new tech contract I have. Have to plan a get together some time to meet some folks when I am there.
Should be quite the teaching year. I have two guys I will be mentoring on the line this year. Lots of opportunities for learning. I am sure we will be sharing a lot.

I am otterman. First three weeks of December will be a mixed bag of species with marten the main target. Plan to hit marten very hard in Feb and March.
