Started trapping coyotes again last week. Had been trapping them last year with no luck just pull outs. After hours of reading everyones great advise on here I took extra time to make a good set where I had good sign. I set up on a road into our pasture. Set up where I had been seeing coyote scat.
Used a Duke #3, center swiveled, short chain 3 swivels. Used extra care to bed solid. My main problem has been dry dirt, it has been raining for about 1 1/2 weeks off and on. I used Pine needles and dirt from a pine tree 10 feet away from my set. I used left over bobcat lure from last year and 3 year old fox urine in a spray bottle, I guess whatever I did worked. Pretty excited even though it is a medium female.

yea, I didn't have my other traps with me since I was on lunch hour so I cleaned it the best I could and reset it.
