LOL. At least it was a lawyer that has influence with the DNR.

How come every raccoon that makes the papers weighs 40 pounds? That's about the average weight of two raccoons and we have some of the largest raccoons in the nation, along with Minnesota and the Dakotas.

Please pass this info on to someone that works in the state, maybe they can put a bid in for the work next year.

Is killing geese the best plan?

Take a look at this. May be an opportunity for NWCOS in OR.

Hazing and other methods to make them go somewhere else only make them someone else's problem. Egg addling and/or oiling is expensive and not effective for a lot of reasons. Eventually lethal methods come into the discussion.
Google Mute Swans on the Chesapeake Bay. Problem is essentially solved. In the case of the swans the DNR did the job as it was a political hot potato and no WCO in their right mind would have touched it. I am astonished that the Md DNR had the testicuar fortitude to undertake it but they did.

No fair Stan. I can see in that last picture that you're feeding him Milkbone dog biscuits to make him weigh more.
By the way, great pictures. You can actually see how big he really is!
I've only caught one over 40 pounds and the pictures just didn't do him justice.
