I saw the thread on live trapping beaver and it reminded me of an idea i've been kicking around for a while. I have some prime beaver country on my trapline that has not had beaver in the ponds for awhile. This was either due to overtrapping or oil compnies knocking the dams out. If a guy caught beaver in a live trap and dropped them off in new territory would the beaver setup residence or simply head for parts unkown? I would like to see some of the ponds on my line that have easy access with beaver in them.

Dont forget that if there is no feed your beavers will go some where else.

I would check the regs on relocation. You might get yourself in a heap of trouble relocating!
