Is this in liquid form? All I've ever used was natural ambergris and it was solid. I haven't even seen any for close to 20 years!

No, it is NOT tintured. It is in it's pure manufactored form, and yes, liquid.


Newhouse. If you had natural ambergris ( whale vomit) then you had liquid gold. It isn't available...not at that price. I suspect the perfume trade gets all avaiable, when and if it is.

I know that the natural stuff seems to "appear" every now and then in asia. I believe it was specific to the sperm whale and there are not a whole bunch of them being harvested anymore. I remember reading that a whale that had died of natural causes and was floating on the surface usually had a kings ransom of ambergris in the stomach. The stuff I had looked like crumbly sandstone (dark color) and was the sweetest musk you could hope to smell. I've never tried it on cats before but would like to try it. If you haven't already sold it, I'll give it a home.

This is not from a "supply house."
It is from the manufactor and since that is a much guarded secret (the fact that most ingredients come from a central sourse) I can not devulge that information publicly, sorry!
