Each year in MN we have a Winter Meeting of the Trappers Association.

I like to have a demo just for the youngsters. We have touched on Muskrat trapping, Muskrat skinning, and Weasels. I need an idea for this year !

Any suggestions ?

Beaver skinning --kid friendly?lol. Not many kids are into beaver put up,but skinning and the freezing of the pelt might be good. With thr removal of castors and oil sacs, also discussed?
Only problem with this--it isn't of interest to the younger ones.

I think Muskrats is the best animal to start trapping.... you don't want to do another 'rat demo?

2poor... I could do my soon to become famous Skunk demo... LOL!

I would like to see just about any demo, even if it's something I've already seen. I learn new stuff every time I watch something or read something again, and so to me, everything and anything is fine.

Weasels and Rats seem to be the biggest interest for the kids. Seems like we touch on them pretty hard. Maybe we should do another rat demo again as we covered Weasels pretty well in the last several years.

Skunkwrestler does have a new trapping technique that will raise a stir in the near future. I think we will save that for the future though!

Somebody want to re-do this post because I can't read his typing, all I understood was post a picture of a catch in a snare.

Silver if you need helf with coyotes I would be glad to help because they are an easy animal to trap IMO but for me their not a target animal because every coyote in my area has mange.
