I had the swine flu too and I had a fever for 8 straight days and another week after that to get back on my feet. It sucks that's all I can say.

I am also just getting over it. I have not been sick at all in years and years. I started feeling it last Sat and am just starting to feel normal today. Missed Monday and Friday work and I have never been too sick to go to work. It is bad. The body aching and the chills is bad!!

Me, too. Not swine flu. Mine is more gastrointestinal. Pain so acute I almost called an ambulance in the early morning hours Sunday. Pain comes in waves. Eased up for a little while yesterday, than hit against full force this morning and woke me at 2am. Already called in to work and will try to get in to see a doctor as soon as they open. If a doctor can't see me this morning, I'll be in the emergency room. I'm on t-man between waves of excrutiating pain.

I hope I dont get that, please dont send it east.

I walked out of the house last Thursaday and started puking before I got to the car.Thought it was just my coffee not sitting right and drove on in to work where I puked in the parking lot, then in the bathroom, then on my way back to the car after getting sent home.

Stayed in bed all day, Friday I thought I felt better but it just started coming out the other end and I spent most of the day on the toilet.

Called in again Saturday as I was still feeling nasuas everytime I ate anything.

It hit fast and hard whatever I had, still not feeling the greatest but gonna try it again here shortly and head for work.

The old lady, all 5 kids and I are all sick. Up all night with my 2 month old twins. No work today.

Just got back from the doctor and know what my ailment is. Food poisoning. Got some pain pills, said drink plenty of fluids, no milk products for a week, and no solid foods for a few days.

let me know what you find out, because im battling the same crap right now. terrible lower intestinal cramps/shooting pain. ive had mine for almost a month now. went into emergency 3 weeks ago and got 2 antibiotics. didnt do squat! they told me it was diverticulitis 3 different antibiotics. no help.

Wiggler, mine is upper abdomen pain. Some kind of horrible pain. Like I'm getting gut shot every 5 minutes. Been going on since Saturday afternoon except for a few hours yesterday.

mine is all in my lower track.. every time i go #2 i swear my guts are being ripped out. if i didnt have so darn many traps out in the marsh, id head back to the big city and find out whats goin on. im scared their gonna cut out a section of my intestines and will kill my trapping for a while.

Ya buck i had salmonella when i was about 30, the pain is awsome and it comes in waves all right, took about 10 days to get well over it, i lost bout 20 pounds as i remember.

Well I guess I got the h1n1 I dont know, I had a cold last week, this morning while I was checkin traps it hit, felt like I was gonna throw up, but managed to finish chekin my line, threw up when I got home, but I felt better and I hade some work to do in my shop, so I went down to do that got it all done and threw up down there. Came up took some pepto and have been sippin on 7up kinda starting to feel better I havent threw up in about an hour. Just spendin this beautiful day inside I guess

No solid food for a few days...... that would likely cause me to physically change shape. Been lucky so far. I've got asthma. Not real bad but I've got it. If I get a cold it's pretty hard on this 46 year old. I go to extremes. Lots and lots of hand washing with soap when out on the road trucking. Always use my own pen. Open all those doors with my fist up above my head as I go out. Do whatever I can to try to avoid pulling open those same doors with my hands on the way in. Mind you, I don't stand there and act like Monk,but I do what I can. Sometimes I make it through the winter without a cold/sickness. Not usually. Pretty much just a matter of time.
