Every time someone forgets something ( like a flashlight, drill, ladder, cage, customer) I get blamed. That's mainly because a guy in his twenties ( my son and our employees) are not going to take the blame when they have a perfectly good sixty six year old to blame it on.
I'll admit that once in a while I might forget something. Now what were we talking about? Oh yeah, today we get a call from a lady with a cage on her roof with a raccoon in it. Can we pick it up? My wife asks is it our cage? She says she can't remember but its been there for months. SHE'S DUMBER THAN ME!
Our tech goes out and gets the raccoon. It's not our cage. The woman tells our tech that she owes for an entire family of raccoons but she can't remember the guys name and he's never come back for his check or his cage. HE'S DUMBER THAN ME TOO!

No chance the guy has died or in hospital or jail is there?

Was there a trap tag on the trap?

Hey LT, that was an excellent question. No tag (which is illegal) but our tech was quizzing the lady to try and figure out who it could be and no luck so far.
I try to introduce myself to all the full-timers in the area. I have a hard time believing that it's some part time guy. He used a Safeguard Universal trap over the hole and caught the entire family. The one we picked up had to make another hole in the roof to get caught.

Guess you get a new trap then?

Well, so far this lady hasn't paid a service call, hasn't paid for an entire family of raccoons, and I'll bet she calls and asks how much we'll give her for the trap!
