A nice sized coon in a cage trap. Joker flipped that trap 50 feet from where i was placed. ( didn't know to secure them then)

a solid black 'yote in a 1.5 Bnl double long. the yotes had been digging up this cow that we buried so i just set the trap in the hole and bam! a yote lol. i staked the trap with a piece of 3/8 rebar bent in a horseshoe lol

A West Virginia muskrat, and I still love 2 trap em but they are not as plentiful now that I'm in Ga.

Coon in a #11 with mini marshmellows piled on top of the trap. Big coon too. i could barley hold him up

Caught a muskrat by the hind foot in a #2 coilspring that I'd set for coon. Good thing I didn't get a coon in that set, the stake would have never held even the smallest of coons.

Muskrat. I had to find a stump to press down on the spring of the 110 to get it set. I must of snapped that trap 5 times before I got it set right.

coon. made a circle using six 1.5 cs and put an old broom handle through the rings for a stake. used sunnys for bait. that poor coon.

My first catch was my thumb...first animal was a nice boar Grey Squirrel in a 110 Magnum...

Possum....Baited with sardines in a #2 dls... in 1971.

I picked up five coon in three nights around the hen house with three Duke #2's. That was last month and now I'm hooked and ready for the pelts to prime up this winter.

That was in 1980 I was 12.

a whole nest of snakes when I was about 6 yo my Dad caught me mashing snake eggs squirting the little snakes out kina like a cat trying to get a mouse going again after they finished it though. then my first mammal was muskrats it was all I trapped from about 1969-1980 / 81

Before I ever started trapping I had coyotes coming into the yard (feet from the house) I got a good snow fall and found where they were coming under the bottom wire of the fence, I made a homemade snare and snared a yote that night. I left the snare there and never caught another coyote. Thats when I first began to digest how intelligent coyotes are. I found out a short time later (after I had moved) that snares are illegal. So I never set another snare and I never trapped again until last year.

Last year I ran my first line, first animal caught, a pit bull with no collar and looking malnourished for a family pet. I was trapping a mile and a half from the nearest house and the pit was not happy to be in the MB 650.

Next animal a grinner.
