You better be teaching him to bake cakes with files in them, because his mom sure won't after that picture.

Another part of this is that we had a long discussion about lying and getting caught about six months ago, and about how being upfront and taking responsibility for his actions was better in the long run. Now he gets to see this in action, up front and personal. -TJ And after the Judge puts the screws to you for "being honest" you get to teach him the 3 S's....... make sure you wear you filthiest clothes, rub dirt all over the kid and don't feed him that day.... If the judge gets a whiff of all that old lady and orphan kids cash you been stockpiling, he is going to take it from you...

TJ, Too bad the moose wasn't as horny as you thought it was, I hope the judge is leniant. Unfortunately I think there are an awful lot of sublegal moose left dead in areas with antler restrictions.

Very nice TJ and son! Sucks on the moose not being legal, but sounds like a great trip! Love that snow!

Great story TJ, sorry about the legal issue.
Taking him out is so important. Nice work!

Question Jimmy. You tagged a moose. Then your boy shoots one. Obviously he was hunting with his own tag. How do you get the citation when you didn't tag the moose? Are under 16, non licensed hunters, still under the supervision of an adult and not subject to citing? mt

MT - he has his own tag as he is over the age of 10, but was hunting under my supervision and took the moose at my direction, so I get the citation. If he were to be hunting on his own and took it by himself, then he would get the ticket.

TJ, becarefull. I think since he is under 16 and he shoots a moose then YOU must punch your tag and you are done. At least thats how I understood it. If not then I ^%&%$^ up because I coulda shot a moose after Kayla shot her's this year....

Steve, If they are under 10 years of age (Page 13 of the regs) then they are shooting the adults tag. 10 and up they can have thier own general season tag, but are not required to have a hunting license until they are 16 years of age. Also in certain units, they have to have hunters education. You could have taken a moose this year...... -TJ

Yeah, I got an email this morning from him on it. At first I thought the wife unit ratted me out. I forwared his email to her and she was a bit concerned that her father and mother got to see that picture of him in camp.... -TJ
