I've used both and, like Don Bishop says, it depends on the conditions/water. I couldn't get my Jon up some of the skinnier water but, in the bigger waters, it worked well (especially since it had a motor).

Daniel Boon,

For the love of God man, buy a new paddle LOL!!

S/F,

Bob

Hey Bob that is a new paddle! he was attacked by beavers bigger than that one on the boat, He made the mistake of using a wood paddle to try and beat them off!!!!!

Yeah right, Go buy a paddle Boone!

I agree with tex wolfer,I would kill myself in a canoe (no sense of balance) ,plus the waters still very cold around here for trappin and I don't like swimmin in icewater

I'm very uncomfortable in a canoe or maybe I just don't have good balance. I lug the heavy jon boat and relax after I get in the water.
