According to the guy that makes speed dip you don't need to either. But I used the speed dip then later waxed them, they where a whole different animal then.

I have used Formula One before its release. I have used it with and without wax. I prefer waxing over.

Mr. Jameson are you referring to dipping and then waxing over the dip. Or you meaning you prefer waxing to the dip? thanks Kirby

I prefer waxing over after the trap kote has cured. Much more durable and the retreats are easy also. Just pressure wash the dirty traps and redip if needed then rewax. The dip will only adhere to the bare metal surfaces when redipped. The waxed areas will run off. Then wax.
