Would those old Blake & Lamb # 2 1/2 Single Long Spring traps be of much use to trappers in Alaska ? It's a #3 with one longspring.

They were a pretty good trap; just needed a little work on the trigger.

When I got to go to Alaska a few years ago, the main fish I wanted to catch was a Grayling. Tasty buggers on the grill. Nice catch Jeff.

Yes...BT..they are tasty buggers...I like em on the fire as well, still wiggling smile
and no MP..the Yukon is too muddy you have to get on the smaller rivers,to get them to bite.
this dolly was 20 inches, and getting aged as we speak sick

Tasty critters Jeff. Those Dollies are spectacular on the fire with a little butter, salt and pepper.

Are your tributaries as low as ours. Wow, we took a ride today and I've never seen them that low.

Yes they are Kusko....this particular one is getting aged for frozen fish...(the best)
and our tributarys, are the highest I have ever seen still...we have flooded willow, looks just like after breakup...the first time I ever saw this so late...there is still snow melting in the hills, causing it.

those are some nice grayling....

I have seen flocks of turkeys in 2 different spots down on the peninsula. Almost got 4 with a motor home one day....

there are also some around eagle river and when i try to hunt them in the spring they seem to know they are safe in residential yards....

one day I will catch them suckers where they shouldn't be..

also seen pheasants along the highway kasilof, deep creek way.

Might as well not move up here now CB....Your favorite Governor Sarah just quit!!! I'm not sure if Alaska can survive without her!!! On another topic though, it was quite clear today and I could see Russia from my house.
