I have misplaced, or lost, the excellent tutorial a T-man member loaned here describing one as either done for a 4H or Boy Scout project - with dimensions.

I posted on that thread asking for more details on the notched trigger on top of the "box."

Cannot locate it in my post files. Maybe the title was not that well described for me to locate it.

If the originator of that post notices this ink in request, would you kindly direct me to its residency.

Does anyone else have it bookmarked or saved anywhere to send it to me. I would be grateful for that transfer of evidence.

Thank you.

Jonathan

Is this the unit you're looking for Jonathan???

Sorry, but I don't have the dimensions. This box can be made any size the builder wishes. The same construction applys to all sizes.

Use heavy wire or expanded metal on the open-end.

Aprophet... You got it .... THANKS smile

p.p.p.s. I have one thing to add... To make the trigger more sensitive, on the inside edge of the top, attach a piece of tin to the leading edge, where the vertical trigger/stick hooks onto the inside edge of the box. The drilled hole, where the triggeer goes through the lid, is not very sharp/smooth and the piece of "tin" makes a much better surface for the trigger to hook/unhook to/from when the stick is bumped on the inside.

Maybe that is too much information, but I don't know how else to explain it.
Just put the tin inside before you assemble the box. A couple small finishing nails are all that's needed.

i got and idea! i bet everyone i can build a wooden trap for a coyote im talking that design with a latch to keep coyote diggin the door open. ill also cover the box with metal sheeting for integrity. coyotes out here are so brave they will enter things they have to even back out to just get out.
