Trapping & Furbearer Managment in North American Wildlife Conservation

This is a fantastic document on furbears and trapping. It's a little lengthy at 43 pages, but its chocked full of interesting and valuable information about trapping and furbearers that's presented in a fairly objective manner.

Makes me proud to be a trapper!

It's authored by the Northeast Furbearer Resource Techincal Committee

Copies were available for purchase several years ago from the research group. We have used them at our trapper booths for education and asked for a donation for the book. Send me a PM

Another excellent reading is Trapper Education Manual. . 143 pages, downloadable as a pdf document, 13.33 mb. Save it, transfer it to a DVD and you have a handy reference guide; especially helpful to new trappers. It would be nice if both links could be archived. I'll notify a moderator.

They still give that out for the Wisconsin Trapper education course. You might want to check with them. Try contacting them through the web site... www.wistrap.org

Thanks for the link, I like electronic copies.

Missouri Cable Restraint Manual

Here's another great document on cable restraints (snares) by the Missouri Department of Conservation. Lots of info for beginners interested in snaring
