I like it. (Aquatic fox set) It should work. Maybe a little beaver castor on one of your hay sets.

I use hay or straw, what ever I can get my hands on. I try to use the one that will make more contrast with the surroundings to get a better visual attractor.

ok fellas no catch today frown i know bummer right! missed around 6 fox and a possible yote. they worked the sets just didnt set the traps off they are just lucky for a night i hope. HOWEVER these sets might not get there time to shine as i hit my goal today and will be pulling tomoro. POSSIBALY leaving just these sets out and active tilll saturday. if its a yote i want it so i may set this location hard with liek 15-20 traps and try to pick him up. ill post pics of his tracks maby later after i study them some more compared to dog tracks on the net. hopefully catch pics tomoro

Can't get em all all of the time..For yotes, sometimes less is better. Too many traps in an area tends to alert them.IMO

Congrats on reaching your goal!

That's a hay set?! Some hay over a trap?! I thought it was like a trap near a hay bale or something.
Anyway, that's an awesome idea to trap ON the crick. I've tracked alot of canine from my beaver sets to parts of my crick I've never seen! I would set down there, but it's supposed to get warm for a couple of days, but I will set along the bluffs!
Thanks for this post!

Just so everyone knows my dad came with me today and me and him guessed about 15-20 diffrent fox ran this crick last night. THEY ARE MAJOR HIGHWAYS! even if the ice is to thin for you, it may not b e for them so find where they are coming on and off, they all seem to be using afew spots where i am. and set normal sets there
