FW: Ammunition Accountability Act‏ Sent: January 1, 2009 12:01:31 PM Is this an ear mark of what is coming down the pipes?? The 2008 Legislative session has begun, and the Ammunition Accountability Act is being introduced across the country. Below is a list of states where legislation has already been introduced: Alabama, Arizona, California, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Washington. http://ammunitionaccountability.org/Legislation.htm Remember how Obama said that he wasn't going to take your guns? Well, it seems that his minions and allies in the anti-gun world have no problem with taking your ammo! The bill that is being pushed in 18 states (including Illinois and Indiana) requires all ammunition to be encoded by the manufacture, a data base of all ammunition sales. So they will know how much you buy and what calibers. Nobody can sell any ammunition after June 30, 2009 unless the ammunition is coded. Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand-loaded ammo.) They will also charge a .05 cent tax on every round so every box of ammo you buy will go up at least $2.50 or more! If they can depriv e you of ammo they do not need to take your gun!

How is a person supposed to encode reloaded ammo ? Answer:::: Any privately held uncoded ammunition must be destroyed by July 1, 2011. (Including hand-loaded ammo.)So they will use the same premise as used with moonshine. You can make it, but if it doesn't have the Nanny State Seal of approval, your shine and your bullets are contraband.

The point is when this passes you will be lock up when you are cought with ammo that isn't encoded. Once they pass this I would guess there will be a limit place on the amount of ammo you can buy. Then when no one has any ammo they will take our guns. In my mind it does no good to stash ammo and guns if you can't use them. The best thing to do is act now and not wait until it is too late. I am not sure what should be done but something has to change or we are finished. It is not something one person can do. Maybe every gun owner should move out of the state that passes this bill. We need a wake up call. Also watch for the media to say how much crime has dropped once this is passed to help push it through the rest of the states.

They would have to check every trap, and skeet shooter, every small and big game hunter every time they were out in the field. That would be a huge waste of resources on law enforcement that could be better spent fighting real crime.

Read the ban. It covers handgun and assault rifle ammo. I couldn't get the calibers listed to upload yet.

Years ago you had to register each box of ammo purchase. Then the found out the volumne of paper work was insane, so they dropped rimfire ammo, and the paper pile was still too much, so they dropped all rifle and shotgun ammo, then they found out even registering pistol ammo had no crime deterrent or prevention value, so they dropped that too. I wouldn't get too het up about it, it's unenforceable.

In my mind nothing is unenforceable unless you are dealing with a criminal. They can enforce what ever they make the priority.

If I read your proposed legislation correctly it is the back of the bullet that is encoded. Presumably then boxes of bullets for hand loading will also be encoded. I would expect that IF any legislation goes through the manufactures will encode all bullets regardless of the State they are going to. Being as we Canadians use US ammunition and bullets for hand loading, any we get would also be encoded.
How they gonna keep track? Each box encoded separately, then have to be registered as you buy them. What a Cluster F___ this is gonna be.

they can pee up a rope, i will stock pile enough ammo to last a lifetime for my needs and will not let them know..lol Finch what are you going to do with that stock pile of ammo? Leave it stock piled. You may as well not have it if you can't use it with out fear of being locked up. If this does go through everyone should show up with ammo that isn't encoded. What will they do lock every gun owner up at once? As long as were do what they say, they will say what they please. We have to figure something out.

Mark 81560 Your guns and ammo with do nothing for you when the ATF / Feds want to stop you. You are stopped. You will be deemed a armed and dangerous criminal and they will use what ever force is required. Tanks, planes, what ever. You may put up a good fight for a while, but when they want it to end it will end. Just look back at some of the stand offs and see who won.

.........i know in the military around here wont fight against us........ First off, don't count on it. I know I'm going to get some heat over that remark, but I could really care less. I love our troops and what they are doing and have done for us in the past, but do you know how many of them actually know what our rights are? How many of you actually know your rights hmmm? Few, very few and trappers are among the best on that. And second off they don't need the current armed forces. Or at least they don't need all of them. Does anybody on here remember or know what happened in New Orleans? They disarmed lawful American citizens of their weapons. Remember who did it? Your armed forces and....BLACKWATER. Mercenaries care little about "rights". They're paid to do a job and they do it. What many of you don't see is that we have an enemy up there. They're not dumb and they're not crazy. They're smart, very, very, smart. The very fact that we have let it come this far is a testament to that. They're not writing up laws because they somehow just can't see the "light". They waging a war on freedom America and it's about time you saw the light because guess what? They're wining! How many of you actually know what the Federal Reserve is? Hmmm? It would surprise most of you since it isn't Federal and there are no reserves. Guns have become an increasingly less important item to those who are waging a war on freedom. Their weapon is economics not firepower. Besides do you actually believe that you have a chance with your rifles and shotguns against missiles, aircraft, tanks, and thousands of trained troops if they get control of them? Now don't get me wrong I will fight long and hard for my gun rights, but far to many focus on guns and forget all of the other things so important. It's time for you people to wake up and realize where your country is headed. There needs to be an organized and well armed revolt against current leadership not because we want an empire or a different form of government, but because we need to bring back what has been trampled, perverted, and lost. We let America become a democracy(we were a republic. Look up the meaning in the dictionary) and now we have become a tyranny and a totalitarianism type government as has been happening to country after country for thousands of years when they let down they're guard. Oh man if the founding fathers saw how little we are today!

how about they encode the black and minority gang bangeers and criminals that are shooting up everyone?? You can't say this is racist because it is FACT... FACT... look at the statistics..put them in jail instead of letting them out because it is part of their culture, like OBAMA said.. responsible, working White people are going to be at the short end of the stick.. they are going to loot us like they loot after a winning basketball game or after a black person is convited of a crime.. he has already talked about blacks not getting restitution for slavery... wait.. wait till we all gotta pay them for 3 generations agos stuff...... wonder why they keep comparing him to lincoln??
but they are going to take our guns, ammo, money and rights away..then it will be crazy..
anyone ever see planet of the apes????? that is just a little foreshadowing of whats to come.

Ain't no such thing. However the real point in this thread and in context is some Government bureaucrat will decide just how much ammo you are ALLOWED to legally hold in your possession . Anyone really think about that factor??.

Government always have a blank check. It is called the "National Mint" and they will create money at any time to support their agenda. However they also have another Ace up their sleeve. It is Law Enforcement and it works by making laws that put certain groups outside the law and making examples of them through arrests and fines. Out of 366 million people in the US of A & Canada very few now make moonshine though most of us could. Reason most of us don't is quite obvious. Nobody wants to get killed defending a Still that has been classed as illegal even though that still is on your property and set up for your own personal use. The best defense against Bobby Rush, is to stop him before he gets elected or before he passes laws that affect folks outside his jurisdiction. Once such laws are past it becomes very uncomfortable for those who are made *criminals,* for living as their ancestors did. Mira, making moonshine is perfectly legal, selling it without giving the gov. they're cut is where the trouble lies. I know alot of folks who make it for they're own personal use. there are recipes everywhere to make it in a pressure cooker. RR
