What are your catch totals. Caught around 30-35 coon last year. My catch totals are down this year. I think i may have caught a lot of the reporducers last year. But i got a few areas lined up for after deer season down here. So january 10 i can trap those.

I would wanna trap in them swamps for rats.But what you wanna trap up here. I don't have swamps where i am at. But we sure have rats. They damage our fields and drain them when they are not supposed to be drained. I used to get paid $2 a tail from the farmer that is how i got started.

what kind??? what do you trap? I use it for just about every animal I'm trapping when there is snow on the ground. I ride a Ski-Doo, Unlike 2poor.

I caught my foot in a 220 the other day, I sure wish I'd had a partner then. Luckily it only barely got my boot, and when I squeezed one spring, the trap snapped off.

manley i know it is just cage trapping. But i would love to just trap in Cal for a week.

Given the choice of who to trap with on here I would choose BobCat Girl. Probably because she is currently my trapping partner, my daughter, and she is the only one who still thinks I know everything!

Dont bet on it! LOL, all I caught yesterday was a weasel carcass in a 110 (it was the bait for a cubby) and a rabbit that got all torn up by the neighbor's dog. (There are leash laws so I could ask for restitution but honestly, I'm not too worried about it since I have caught 6 other rabbits in that hole and 7 others at that house in the past 2 weeks.)

You guys are lucky i never got to trap with anyone my dad doesnt my grandpa cant he only ever trapped in the seventies when prices were good he only caught a few coon and a fox i pretty much taught myself.

I would like to go trapping with 2Poor, but it has been written into the state regs that we are not allowed to do so because we would have so much fun....oh yeah and problly get into trouble.

Fezz, many of us started trapping by ourselves when we were younger than you---and we didn't have the internet to gather any information.Everything we did was trial and error.
When I was young--older trappers kept everything to themselves,no sharing of information.
Get out and get yourself started--you have questions----just ask.

What are your catch totals. Caught around 30-35 coon last year. My catch totals are down this year. I think i may have caught a lot of the reporducers last year. But i got a few areas lined up for after deer season down here. So january 10 i can trap those. That's a good total but I think I got you beat in the coon deparment, I caught 129 last year.
