I think MNcooner dropped somethin' in the toilet. LOL
I can't seem to find any here but if I do you guys will be the first to know. 2poor when you mix chicken livers with anise, was it 2 capfuls to a tub of livers. Do you add glycerine? If so how much. Anyone else chime in if you want.

A couple cap fulls would be fine. Anise is a big plus in the colder weather but not near as important in milder weather. In fact if it is above freezing I would avoid using it and just rely on the fresh bait.

It's been in the teens or slightly lower here the last week or so. Would you use the glycerin?

Do weasel's eat the shrew's, or not. Seem to be hammering them nasty little buggers. Caught a weasel first then nothing but shrews.

Only thing I am certain that eats a Shrew is another Shrew.

skunkwrestler, I could ship you some shrews if you would like.LOL
Going to make some more boxes today. I have taken a pile of about 5 shrews and put them where I know coyotes are going by, and they have not been touched. Even seen tracks going by there.
Last summer when we were baling hay, the ground looked like it was moving from all the shrews that were getting shook from there holes by the baler. These must be about the same as a fly, or mesquito, except with fur.

How does weather seem to effect the weasel movement, does the heavy snow, or below zero temps seem to slow them down, or not. Does'nt seem to slow mink down any, with the two being in the same family, I would think they should move about the same.

Any one have some good pics of weasel tracks, I think I found some in the slough the other day, but with qall the rabbit tracks and blowing snow it was hard to tell. They looked like mink tracks only alot smaller.
