Deer season here,I cough too much to go!
Phone not ringing much, the last two calls were for honey bees & bats, way too cold!
Did go check out the bbee problem but it's a consevation park. They want to get a FREE removal? Too SAVE the bees? I get a lot of requests too save honey bees, some people get mad when I refuse.
I guess they figure with my beard, ect. I'm Santa Clause?
Hey how come you guys are home?

That's it. I am limiting myself to one question a week. Sounds like I have made a not so great reputation for myself here. In fact, PM me with each of your mailing addresses fellas. You just made my "To buy for" X-mas list.

Had a call for coyotes in sheep today but they wanted to get it done for free. Told her to call when she decided how many dead sheep I'm worth.

Not bad to get a break now and then but it feels like I'm cheating? You kind of get use too working long hours than it slows!
As soon as I can get over this flue the deer woods will be hit.
If that don't work out water trapping opens soon. Look out mink!

Its slow here to, had a few Coyote calls in the last couple weeks and some bird netting work going and thats about it.

Been bow hunting some, getting some paper work done, heck I even been working in the shop making calls! Thats were I will spend most of the winter, filling orders I could not get to this summer and fall. We been editing some on the next video as well, and need to film some intro's, should get that done soon, then it will be time to start calling predators and trapping Beaver and Otter.

Brent

Well to be honest, I don't see my stand-up comedy career taking off any time soon so I was just gonna send you a 2lb. stick of bear salami or two. I give them for gifts every year.

Yep....been 'coon trapping full time, as the ADC work has slowed down a great deal. I only have 6 jobs out now with two new ones to set up this weekend, one of which is a beaver job, another a muskrat job.
Starting to snare a few coyotes but I really don't start snaring full time until after deer GUN season, which is the first week of December.
Set up 2 new mole jobs last week, then it turned cold, with temps in the 20's at night. Currently, we have a skiff of snow of the ground. I still have a few mole contracts out from fall....but I only caught one mole last check.
I don't have near the lure business that trappers such as Jameson do, but I still get some orders for lures, skunk essence, urine and fish oils, each week...most of them from people here on Trapperman.
Well about the time I get snaring really good, I'll start getting squirrel calls...and for once I won't complain. Business has been down this year, mostly I feel, due to the economy and with fur prices low, a $50. squirrel is a welcome sight! wink

Sorry guys. I have been going top down, hair straight back, and panned out. It has been really busy!!!!!! If we are in a down turn then bring it on. I currently have 12 Beaver complaints, 6 Raccoon complaints, 2 coyote complaints on the go. This is not counting the 13 starling traps that have to be serviced every second day. And trapping season has started and I am out setting catching and processing fur. It is just coming on daylight here and I am gone again. Hope you guys are all well and I will get back to you soon.
Cheers
Pete

I think alot of us get tired of posting and either get ignored or get wise a-- answers. It seems to only happen on this forum. Trap Talk, and Strickly Trapping people are more helpful. Just My opinion.

Jeff, Sorry if you had a run of bad luck on here. I on the other hand, have been pleasantly surprised at the large amount of very helpful and candid answers I get here and the other forums. And if a little humor sneaks in, so much the better!
