Preferred method? Going to power shears and wondering if the coating is going to clog things up.

No problem. We use them on everything that we use for caps and barrier work wire. Coated and uncoated wire.Ours have been used for things most likely not intended for their regular use.

Not a bad idea to keep a set of replacement blades with you, as they do break. And once you use the power shears you are not going to want to go back to cutting by hand.

Been using power shears for several years, just bought this version yesterday at the local Menards.

I just got the Malco Heavy Duty shears as well and they won't cut 16 gauge Riverdale half x half vinyl coat. I literally can't even get them to cut one bar. Hoping they let me return them....

We have several Milwaukee shears and they cut whatever fits the jaws basically. Quite durable shears.
