Have you ever tried coal tar? Anthralin? D3 Analog? Steriods? All work on psoriasis some what. How severe is your psoriasis?

Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream - you need a prescription but it works magic on everything...psoriasis, poison ivy, etc.

I have psoriasis pretty bad on the top of my feet, sometimes it prevents me from working for a few days. Here is the thing about psoriasis it is a auto immune so whatever you use eventualy it won't work anymore. Also it is not a topical issue, for me if I get it to go away on my feet it pops up somewhere else. Here is what I do, it may not work for you. First off most soaps are really ruff on your skin, I use goats milk soap as it is all natural and is very mild with no scent. 2nd I put Johnson's baby powder in my socks, it helps keep my feet dry and reduces friction that lead to irritation, baby powder will not clump up like foot powder FYI. 3rd alcohol, lots of sugar and stress are the 3 main contributors to psoriasis flaring up, try you best to eliminate those I know it's hard because trust me I like my beer but is it really worth the pain? And 4th I try to not use any kind of medication/cream unless it is really bad then as soon as it gets better stop!!! I screwed my self when I was in the Navy, I use everything out there. Now almost no kind of medication for psoriasis works because it is a autoimmune. Only use the medication when you really really need it. I hope this helps, please feel free to pm me anytime with any questions. Sam

I know that this is an old thread but I feel complied to respond. I have what my Dr calls stage 3 severe. It used to cover 90% of my body and the only thing that helped was a tanning bed. Until I started getting shots. I first broke out with it in 96 after getting bit by a coon ( long stupid kid story) and suffered badly all winter till summer when the sun came out. tanning is your friend and to me tanning beds offered the best results and the pros outweighed the cons of the bed. I am a pay as you go guy so when I went to yet another specialist at a teaching hospital the "student" got me into a 5 year study where I get shots. After 3 months I'm 100% clear.

my best concoction ever was when I mixed in equal parts triamcinolone .1%, baby oil, and the Avino lotion with the oatmeal in it. it would stop the cracking and bleeding enough for me to get out and do my chores. Hope this helps
