A prosperous China would sure help fur prices for a longer run. I'm not sure that Iran war is going to be very helpful in that regard. I keep hoping Peace prevails. Same for Ukraine. We need a healthy Russia and Ukraine back to buying fur.

I personality wouldn't wast my time going to a NFL game if it were free. Never watched one on TV either.

I have watched some High-school football games a few times and grandpa liked geting seasion tickets to UE collage basketball games and taking myself and one cousin to Cardinals game once a year. I have never been a big spectator sports guy.

Guys, the mystery has been solved,, it was indeed an older victor conibear,,, i was able to sand it down enough to barely make out “ conibear” on the dog.

I’ve never owned a victor conibear with those tiny ends like that. It’s plenty stout. New trigger and it’s ready to rock and roll.

Big Sam , that would be a challenge !

Snowy , thanks to good neighbors who run a mill just down at the road’s end . They milled my tree just right . Having that gorgeous lumber to build something nice , lessens the pain a bit of seeing one of my favorite cedars taken down.

Hoss thats a great idea ! My rabbits always stand in alert when something is coming in .

Marten T., very true !

KC , Scott,Les, Big Bob , Archer , this state is unique. All kinds of different habitat . I love seeing the mountains. Not far away, but close up . I have hiked , rode horses and driven to trail heads and am immersed in forest and wilderness area . The mountain in the photo is the beginning of the big ones just behind it . I know the mountain in the photo very well . Cold clear springs dot the sides year round in several places. Towards the top are lovely stands of Doug fir , sub alpine fir ,aspen , birch, mountain maple and others . Grizzly trails in the dark larger stands that make my hair stand on end .

At the top are my favorites, huge stands of old growth mountain hemlock . They are uncommon and not logged in any range in the northwest . Which are the only small areas they grow , along with north Idaho . I have sat for hours in those stands enjoying them and looking across the U shaped valley at jagged peaks above and down into the magical scenery below . Seeing pikas calling and scurrying on the rocks . Mountain hemlock are reported to be difficult trees to transplant. I brought down two small ones years ago , they took and are now several feet above my head. My pride and joy to see in all seasons .

You got it , Smash ! Savell you’d like the cowboys here , just as the guys you like in Texas . Tough men , your friends who will help you when you need them.

My summery is this ….. “Then I will live in Montana. And drive a pick up truck . And raise rabbits ….”

that looks good , like a well used knife , I wouldn't try and shine it up any more it looks the part of a good used marbles knife , like a trusted companion

I would sharpen it up good and carry it.

You ought to saddle train that moose. You'd look pretty fancy riding him into town.

I added 2% of Extra Virgin Olive Oil to this batch.

The olive oil makes a softah crust.

Slices like buttah...
